The HSOLC Federal grant is due April 1st. The process to get to this finish line takes one-three months with the expertise of many helping to describe what HSOLC has done and intends to do in the 2023-2024 school. It is a true collaboration of efforts to ensure the key elements are met while also bragging about our accomplishments.

After submission there is an exchange between the Region X Office of Head Start Grant Specialist as they read and compare what we say to the budget and training plan. Region X oversees Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Alaska.

What normally does not happen, in all my years working on the grant, is to receive an email saying thank you for your hard work!

HSOLC is known to be cutting-edge, ahead of the curve, and what other Head Start programs nation-wide look to for ideas and how-tos.

Thank you for helping us achieve this positive acknowledgement

Head Start Executive Team
Charleen Strauch, Executive Director
Marci Gaston, HS/EHS Director
Leslie Cooper Parsons, HS/EHS Assistant Director
